Mt Cook Airport to the Franz Josef Glacier (1 hour).
I went on a famil flight with Mt Cook Skiplanes (Inflite) on to the Gieke Snowfield in the upper neve of the Franz Josef Glacier. The flight went from the Mt Cook Airport up the Rudolf Glacier over the main divide and then across to the Gieke Snowfield. The first part of the flight was done in a helicopter, then we swapped to a Skiplane at the Gieke Snowfield. The flight path back down went over the Franz Neve, over the Divide and back down the Tasman Glacier alongside the Mt Cook Range, back to Mt Cook Airport.
