Southern Discoveries Milford Cruise Tour (2 hours).

I did a cruise with Southern Discoveries on Milford Sound. We started at Freshwater Basin, and boated down Milford Sound to the Tasman Ocean. From there we headed back, stopping to see the seals basking on the rock, and at Stirling Falls. We were joined by a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins along the way, before returning to Freshwater Basin. It was the driest I have ever seen Milford and Fiordland. The only waterfalls running were Stirling Falls and Bowen Falls.

Ruggedy Range Kiwi Tour (3 hours).

I did a Ruggedy Range Kiwi Tour with Furhana along with 3 other of our guests, and 5 other people. 

We saw one baby kiwi scuttle off the road, and then two down in Horseshoe Bay where we observed them for a little while. 

The tour went from 9:45pm until 1am. Long night.

28th of January 2022.

Stewart Island Experience Village and Bays Tour. (1.5 hours).

In the morning I went to the DOC Centre, and then to the Red Shed and booked in on a Village and Bays tour 

with the Stewart Island Experience. We drove through town, up to Observation Point, down to Lonnekers Bay, then out to Lee Bay

before heading back into town.

International Antartic Tour in Christchurch (4 hour).

I did a tour through the International Antartic Centre in Christchurch. I started with the Backstage Penguin Tour, 

and then did a Hagglund Ride.

After that I explored the Museum, and then the Storm Dome.

Monarch Cruises Otago Peninsula Tour - 18th of October 2019.

Monarch Cruises Otago Peninsula Tour – 18^th of October 2019.

Monarch Cruises Otago Peninsula Premier Tour Plus Larnachs Castle – Otago Peninsula.

I did a familarisation trip with Monarch Cruises in October 2019. We started at the Monarch HQ and picked up the other guests on the trip. We then drove to the High Road and did a tour through Larnachs Castle – John provided a lot of interp associated to the Castle throughout the tour. After that we continued along the high road and dropped down to Hoopers Inlet and Papanui Inlet – checking out some of the wading birds along the way. After that we drove out to Taiaroa Head where we did the Albatross Tour. It was magnificent seeing the birds in the air from the Observation Room. After that we drove around to Penguin Place where we did the tour through the trenches to check out the Yellow Eyed Penguins who were nesting at the site.

Following on from that we were dropped off at the Monarch wharf, and we did the Monarch Cruise out to Taiaroa Head, before boating back down the Harbour to the Port. Great day out with Monarch Cruises. (1 day).
